Following three years of private practice in Toronto, my passion regarding pediatric care led me to the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in pursuit of a very unique Pediatric Residency opportunity in 2010.
During my residency, I was involved in teaching pediatrics at the college and supervising medical students on pediatric clinical rotations at the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center. I gained valuable hands-on experience at the Hamilton Elementary School Clinic, providing free acute and chronic naturopathic care to children in an underserved area of Phoenix.
I was fortunate to study under the direction of experienced DAN! Doctor Matthew Baral ND, as well as esteemed Pediatrician Dr. Rajeev Agarwal MD and the renowned group of Developmental Pediatricians at the Melmed Center.
Accredited as a selective residency by the Council for Naturopathic Medical Education, I am proud to be the second ever graduate of the program, and the only Canadian ND to have completed a residency of this kind.
While the hot desert sun was wonderful in the winter months, I am pleased to be able to bring this knowledge and experience back home to Toronto.
